Florida Vacation Rentals

As part of my research when setting my prices for 2008 for my Windsor Palms and Solana resort homes I looked at a lot of other websites. The experience was confusing. I am an experienced Orlando vacation home owner, so I got to thinking just how bad it must be for guests who have never looked for a home on the internet before.

So how do guests properly compare prices of Orlando vacation homes?

I looked particularly at Windsor Palms – the resort where I have 3 homes available. I know Windsor Palms well – I should do as I bought there at the very start because I thought it was the best available then, and it still is now! Anyway, most of the villas are 4 bed homes, with a smaller number of 5 and 6 bed homes. There are condos and townhomes too but I don’t know much about this market. I know that most of the homes at Windsor Palms have the same floor plan. They are the same basic building but that is where the likeness ends.

There is a big difference in location of the home within the resort. Most are back to back with other homes. Others ( like mine of course) are on the better lots. When I buy an Orlando vacation home I look at the lot position first. Location location location! You can change the interior but you can’t move the house…… So first choose what is important to you – and decide if the plot location matters. You can use this Windsor Palms resort map to compare.

So once you have got an idea of how the houses are located within the Windsor Palms resort you need to start looking at the homes themselves. Not all homes are alike. Most are owned by individuals so budget and decoration is going to vary a lot. Also, how regularly and well maintained the Windsor Palms homes are going to be will also vary. Some will have the basics – others will have more than you can imagine. Your choice just depends on what you and your family need.

Windsor Palms really is an excellent choice for an Orlando vacation home – you can’t get that much closer to Disney World ( yes everyone says this but it can’t be true for everyone and it genuinely is for Windsor Palms)! The facilities are fabulous and you will find a home to suit your needs and tastes.
