Florida Vacation Rentals

I have just published my new Orlando vacation homes rates for 2008.  I did a lot of research on the internet about pricing of homes in Kissimmee and Davenport – the main areas where my homes are located.   I think that homeowners can learn a lot from looking at the wide range of homes available.

So what did I learn?  That there is an Orlando vacation home for every budget, taste and requirement!  It also confirmed what I had hoped – that in general you get what you pay for.  The higher prices generally are for the higher standard of home.  My Windsor Palms 5 bed home is beautiful and I am very proud of it.  But I am not one to stand still and I want it to be even better.   I am working on a lot of upgrades for my Windsor Palms conservation view home such as game room, themed rooms, and brand new carpets.   Yes, I admit this home has higher prices than some others – but it also has higher standards and facilities too.  If you want the best of the best then this one is for you.

I will admit though that I was surprised at finding a small number of homes which are selling themselves so short for no apparent reason.   I know that for less experienced vacation home owners it can be difficult to know where to start to make things work financially – and I think that this may be the reason that some home owners sell themselves and their homes too cheap.  This can be good for the guest – you can get a bargain if you know where to look.  But at the end of the day these homeowners are going to have to dig deep into their pocket to keep their home up to standard. Things start to slide when they can’t afford to pay the upkeep – do guests really want to take the risk that the Orlando vacation home will not be properly maintained, or even worse, not even available, when the time comes for their vacation.

I am a perfectionist.  This extends to my Orlando vacation homes just as in every aspect of my life.  I don’t want my homes to be second best so I work on keeping them to the very highest standard.  If that is what you are looking for in a vacation home then you have come to the right place. Bargain basement solutions are not for me!
