Orlando Attractions - The Best Ever?

November 14th, 2007 Alison Posted in Orlando Theme Parks, Disney World Florida No Comments »

Is there really a best ever Orlando attraction? I have been thinking about this a lot over the past few days that I have been working on a new site of mine Best Orlando Attractions Ever

I have been having fun putting together all the video and pictures. But I am not sure I can answer the question of if there is a best ever attraction. I can’t even really answer which is my all time favorite Orlando attraction!

Would you choose Disney World as the best attraction? Or perhaps Islands of Adventure? The award for most promising attraction has to go to Sea World Aquatica……

But the winner is? Perhaps you can tell me which you think is the best Orlando attraction…..

Green is Universal (Studios)

November 9th, 2007 Alison Posted in Orlando Theme Parks No Comments »

Universal Studios is leading the way in promoting a greener life. Green fuels will be used at all of Universal’s parks and resorts.

This includes the vehicles at Universal Orlando Resorts - and will mean 260 fewer tons each year of carbon dioxide emissions.

Even the Jaws ride now runs on 100% bio diesel fuel.

If you drive a hybrid you can now park free at the parks.

We can all make a difference and it is a great step forward that Universal Orlando is playing a part.  Check out more details at the Green Is Universal Site

Sea World Aquatica - First New Orlando Theme Park in 7 Years

October 6th, 2007 Alison Posted in Orlando Theme Parks No Comments »

Wow! It looks amazing. Arriving March 2008 it promises to be something very different.

I admit I hadn’t given Aquatica much attention up to now. I heard the announcement about it earlier this year but didn’t take much notice. But this week a guest asked me about it and so I decided to look into it. Water parks aren’t really my thing - but I think this one will change my mind……….aquatica_2.jpg
The 59-acre Aquatica water park will combine the best of both SeaWorld Orlando and Discovery Cove with up-close animal encounters, water rides and 80,000 square feet of white-sand beaches.

Aquatica attractions will include side-by-side wave pools, lazy river rides, eight-lane racing slides, interactive water play areas and 36 waterslides, including a 300-foot-long enclosed waterslide that plunges riders down a 42-foot drop and through a lagoon populated by black-and-white Commerson’s dolphins.

I have to say that I find water parks hard work with 3 young children. But Aquatica looks amazing. The design promises to truly cater for all ages by combining different types of attractions. It also promises to have minimal wait times for the attractions. Let’s hope they achieve that!
