The Wall-e movie is going to be the big hit of the summer. And the toys and books are already a big hit with my family. Even my 2 year old who doesn’t know many words but he can say Wall-e.

Already the toys are a hot commodity and can be difficult to find. If it is like this before the Wall-e movie is released just imagine how it will be this summer and particularly Christmas time.

The Wall-e movie promises to be another great Disney Pixar hit. The story is that humans have messed up the earth so much they have to leave the planet and wait for the robots to clean it up. But the robots aren’t very well designed and they all break down. Except for Wall-e.

A lot of you will know that I write as EverythingMouse on Squidoo. I am really proud to say that I am a finalist in the Squidoo eBay Challenge competition with my Wall-e movie feature. The prize is to be featured in a speech by Seth Godin at the eBay Conference.

You will find all the latest Wall-e toys, video clips and movie trivia, as well as information on how to find the difficult to get Wall-e and Eve interactive robot toys.

Disney Pixar Exclusive – Sneak Preview of 2008 Movie Wall-E

November 1st, 2007 Alison Posted in Disney Movies No Comments »

Wall-E, the 2008 Disney Pixar movie to be released 2008 has had a test screening – and the word is that it is a great movie.

Directed by Andrew Stanton who created Finding Nemo, this movie is tipped to be a phenomenal success. The movie certainly sounds unique – it is said to be dialogue free for the first half. No big movie star voices.

So what is the story? The Earth has finally become completely covered with trash and is totally uninhabitable – humans were overcome with overconsumption and consumerism. We finally screwed up so much we had to leave the Earth.

Robots were sent in to clean up. Problem is that the company controlling the robot cleanup is completely inept – so they have big problems and the robots break down one by one.

After almost 700 years Wall-E, which stands for Waste Allocation Load Lifter – Earth-class, is left alone on Earth.

Sounding good so far…………….?

But the story is really a classic love story. Eve, a robot from a probe which comes down to check on Earth, captures Wall-E’s heart.

No spoilers here – the Wall-E movie is due to be released on June 27th 2008.

The word is that the movie is amazing – designed to appeal to children and adults alike ( as did Ratatouille). With a spectacular John Williams score it has all the promise of a great Disney Pixar movie. I can’t wait!

Rats in the Kitchen – Ratatouille Released on DVD.

October 21st, 2007 Alison Posted in Disney Movies No Comments »

ratcooking1.jpgDoesn’t sound that promising does it? A movie about rats who take over a restaurant kitchen. No this isn’t some kind of Kitchen Nightmare – it is of course Disney Pixar’s Ratatouille movie.

I have to admit that when the movie was released I wasn’t that keen to see it. I have a serious phobia about rats so the thought of a movie about them, even a Disney animated one did not fill me with joy. However my kids persuaded me I need to see it. I was glad they did. I really enjoyed Ratatouille. A story of the rat Remy, who knows he has talent but is held back from his dream by his family and social conventions (a rat is not an ideal cook even in animation land).

Did they make the rats look cute? Sometimes. I only had to close my eyes twice ( hey that’s not bad – I can’t get through Indiana Jones without lots of covering my eyes).

I thought it was an excellent movie. One for the adults and the children. Great humor, animation and a great story.

Others obviously agree as it is proving to be one of Disney Pixars great successes – it is predicted that it’s international box office gross will be around $500 million. This would put it third behind the giant successes of The Incredibles and Finding Nemo, and ahead of Disney’s Cars.

Want to see what makes Ratatouille one of the best Disney Pixar films to date? You can order the Ratatouille DVD ahead of it’s release on 6th November.
